Rama Chandra and Debi Chandra, who was a teacher in the local government schools. He received a bachelor's degree in Chemistry from University College, London, in 1962, and his M.Sc. degree in Chemistry from Bombay University, Bombay, in 1966. He then returned to London to complete his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from University College, London, in 1970. Chandra was granted a Fellowship at Kings College, Cambridge, where he worked from 1970 to 1974 on the quantum mechanics of anharmonic oscillators. On completion of his Ph.D. he moved to the Institute of Nuclear Physics, High Energy Physics Laboratory, University of Frankfurt, Germany, where he was Junior Staff Member of the Superconducting Super Collider Laboratory from 1974 to 1982.In 1982 he moved to Case Western Reserve University, where he was Assistant Professor (later Associate Professor) of Physics from 1982 to 1990. He received a Research Fellowship at the University of New South Wales from 1992 to 1993 and another Research Fellowship at the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics, Trieste, Italy, from 1997 to 2000. He was a Senior Visiting Scientist at the CERN, Geneva, Switzerland, from 2002 to 2004. He was a Visiting Scientist at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai, India, from 2008 to 2010.In 1987, Chandra married Julia Wainwright, and with her he had three children, Max, Alex and Timo. They live in Chennai, India. Kovera translates as ‘to copy,’ and that aptly describes the design of these skylights. A double hung tubular skylight features a 10mm (0.4 inch) air space between the frame and the flange. The air space limits the transmission of moisture, drips and condensation to the inside of the frame but allows the skylight to ventilate well. Double hung tubular skylights require an additional air space in the opening flange to allow the access of the venting mechanism. In the case of a single hung tubular sk 1cb139a0ed
